Terms and Conditions

A few things to keep in mind

African Ocean Safaris - Online Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made via the African Ocean Safaris online booking platform. By confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. Confirmation will be sent via email to the address provided during the booking process. Please ensure all contact details are correct, as African Ocean Safaris cannot be held liable for errors in guest supplied information.

3. Refunds and Cancellations

3.1. Guest Cancellations:

Full refunds will only be issued for cancellations made no less than one full working day (24 hours excluding weekends and public holidays) prior to the scheduled activity.

No refunds will be granted for cancellations or no-shows made after this cut-off period.

3.2. Weather and Force Majeure:

African Ocean Safaris reserves the right to cancel or postpone any activity due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or other events beyond our control (including but not limited to mechanical failure, natural disasters, or acts of God).

In the event of such cancellations, guests will be offered the choice of a full refund or rescheduling, subject to availability.

Decisions regarding weather and safety are made at the sole discretion of African Ocean Safaris’ management and skippers.

4. Indemnity and Participation Requirements

4.1. All guests are required to complete and sign the African Ocean Safaris Indemnity Form at the departure point at the V&A Waterfront prior to boarding the vessel.

4.2. Guests who fail to complete this indemnity form will not be permitted to participate in the activity, and no refunds or rescheduling will be permitted under these circumstances.

4.3. This condition is strictly enforced for the safety of all participants and in compliance with operational and insurance requirements.

5. Participant Responsibilities

Guests must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Late arrivals may forfeit their booking with no refund.

It is the guest’s responsibility to dress appropriately for the weather and sea conditions and to disclose any relevant medical conditions prior to departure.

6. Safety and Conduct

African Ocean Safaris reserves the right to refuse boarding to any individual who is deemed unfit for the activity due to intoxication, inappropriate behaviour, or any condition that may compromise the safety of the group or crew. No refund will be issued in such cases.

7. Liability

Participation in marine activities involves inherent risks. While African Ocean Safaris takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of guests, we shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, damage, or death unless caused by proven gross negligence on our part.

8. Amendments

African Ocean Safaris reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. The latest version will always be available on our website.
