Our Team

Amir Rezaei a marine biologist and executive at African Ocean Safaris. He completed a BSc in Marine Biology at the University of Cape Town. He became involved in marine eco-tourism in 2011 when he joined a company as a marine guide. During this time he also completed a BSc(Hons) in Environmental Management. He was then employed by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) for several years, first as a facilitator for a sustainable fisheries program known as the “Responsible Fisheries Alliance” and then as the Seafood Market Transformation Officer. He then made his move back into marine eco-tourism in 2022, before launching African Ocean Safaris in 2024. He is immensely passionate about the ocean and when he is not taking people out on the boat, you can find him spearfishing or surfing.
