African Ocean Safaris Partners with Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation
African Ocean Safaris is proud to announce a partnership with the Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation to support their “Oceans in Motion” Mobile Aquarium Educational Initiative. This collaboration strengthens our commitment to marine education, aiming to inspire and educate future ocean stewards.
About the Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation and “Oceans in Motion”
As a non-profit organization, the Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation connects people to the ocean through conservation, education, research, and awareness. Their “Oceans in Motion” program exemplifies their commitment to marine education and environmental stewardship. “Oceans in Motion” is an outreach program that brings marine education directly to under-resourced schools across the greater Cape Town area. The initiative features a mobile classroom on a van equipped with mobile aquaria, allowing students to interact with live marine creatures such as sea stars, sea urchins, and sea anemones. These hands-on lessons emphasize environmental stewardship and align with the South African Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS) for Grades 4 to 6. For younger students, an entertaining puppet is a fun way to introduce a love for the ocean.
How We’re Making a Difference
For every ticket sold on our Marine Eco-Tour, African Ocean Safaris pledges to fund the participation of one learner in the “Oceans in Motion” program, providing them with invaluable marine education experiences.
